Inspiring Quotes…

Greetings boys and girls. I took a short hiatus to prepare Blind Mercy for release on February 12. It’s done! So back to the real world. One of my favorite ladies, Carol Cork, inspired me to post quotes I admire. I’d love for everyone to share one, too.

Closest to my heart, I think William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116 is the perfect expression of love…

Shake...

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

The bold words of  Mary Shelley from Frankenstein

Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful

The wise, yet humorous advice of Dorothy Parker…

If you have any young friends who aspire to become writers, the second greatest favor you can do them is to present them with copies of The Elements of Style. The first greatest, of course, is to shoot them now, while they’re happy.

The lyrics to one of my favorite songs, Scorpions, Is There Anybody There

Life’s like a pantomime trick or a laser illusion
Where’s a place that I can stay
Save me don’t let me get lost in the ocean
I need your help everyday to control my emotions
In the darkness of these days
Is there anybody there who feels that vibration
Who shows me the way to my love
Is there anybody there with that inclination
To bring back the sun to my heart…

Join me Friday for a review of romance author Regan Walker’s latest release…
